Banana Pancakes with Cacao Flakes and Cacao Nibs Praline

Pancakes are a classic breakfast staple that can be enjoyed in so many different ways.
One delicious twist on the traditional pancake recipe is to add our Cacao Flakes to the batter and top the pancakes with sliced bananas and our organic Cacao Nibs Praline for a sweet and satisfying treat.


  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cupCacao Flakes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sliced bananas and Cacao Nibs Praline for topping


  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg and vanilla extract.

  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Add the Cacao Flakes for last and fold the batter.

  4. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-high heat. Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop the batter onto the hot pan.

  5. Cook the pancakes for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Serve the pancakes with sliced bananas and sprinkle our Cacao Nibs Praline on top. You can also drizzle some maple syrup or chocolate sauce over the pancakes for added sweetness.
